Art For Oil: Artists

As I mentioned recently Vida Carson is going to be submitting work. But now we've got official word from Janson Rapisarda, Nate Pyper, Lilly Duermeier and Jeff Herwig that each of them should be contributing work to the show. I'm really excited about it! I'm hoping to submit both photo work and water color myself.

If there's anyone interested in submitting work (we're taking all media and all skill levels) to Art for Oil, it's greatly appreciated. The money will be sent to Save Our Seabirds, an organization that works out of Florida in cleaning up birds. Just because BP needs to pay for everything doesn't mean that we can't help and do our part. So donate some work! Or donate some money so we can put on a successful show! Contact me at alejjandra.perez@gmail.com and we'll set something up.

Even small donations help.

The show will open September 1st at the Project Lodge on E. Johnson, and will hopefully include some evening music by Erick and I (me on drums, him on guitar).

JULY IS ENDING

Some things:
  • Went to Pitchfork Music Festival, played with some film and saw Best Coast, Beach House, BSS, and others. Enjoyed those 3 the most.
  • Have been considering using a model in more of my paintings, getting Erick and possibly my brother to comply.
  • Realizing that I'm seriously about to die when senior year happens.

Things are going alright in my life, and as far as art goes I've seem to have lost all interest. Other then that I'm just playing around right now. I promise to post some stuff when things get more interesting.
